405lb-415lb-425lb-435lb(PR)-440lb(fail)-440lb(fail)-405lb(tough).
Check the video. They felt pretty good. I was really trying to figure out my technique today. What worked best was feet a bit closer together, knees through arms, and staying low. Gotta work on not having hips rise faster than the bar. Gotta stay low and push feet through the floor. You can see this in the failed reps, and even the 435lb PR lift. The hips rose too fast.
The PR lift felt good, but I think the failures were true failures. The last 405 felt really really heavy. I think my system was gassed.
Interesting note: Aaron (previous PR 385), goes with 50lb progressions, thinking small progressions (like my 10lb increments) leave one too gassed for a max effort. He goes 250-300-350-400 for a PR. SOmething to try next time, for sure.
