WOD @ 1200: CrossFit Total
Back squat: 365lbs
Bench press: 265lbs (could not do shoulder press because of shoulder injury)
Deadlift: 495lbs
Very happy, but also disappointed in a way.
Back squat. Continuing to try power lifting style, and it is working very well. This is a 40lb improvement over two weeks ago, and 70lb improvement overall since starting main site/heavy lifts/milk. I got a little greedy. My next (failed) attempt was 385lbs, a 20lb jump. I'm pretty sure I could've got 375 today. Next time.
Bench press. Pretty happy with this. 30lb improvement over 2 weeks ago. Failed 275.
Deadlift. 495lbs was easy, but I got greedy and jumped to 515 and missed. I lost my focus on the 515 attempts. Chatting with people in between, I lost my aggression and I lost my focus. Gotta be really patient on the deadlift, stay low. When I missed, it was because my hips rose too fast, and I had nowhere else to drive. Gotta really focus on driving with the legs. Next time. Still, a 20lb improvement over last time and a 60lb improvement since main site/heavy lifts/milk.
Also gotta work on getting real aggressive for these lifts.
