Day #66 main site programming. AM weight 198.2lbs.

Deadlift 1-1-1-1-1-1-1.

I used this as a max DL day instead: 505lbs! Tried 515, but wasn't into it enough. The 505 felt good, but not easy. Practice definitely helps, and I'm not practicing the basic barbell lifts much lately.... Hopefully the weight stays as I lose weight and change my training...

Sweet. An 80lb improvement in 2 months. Awesome.

I'm considering subbing out WODs in order to do basic barbell training, e.g. 3-on-1 off, but the 2nd WOD is always a barbell WOD, or I'll pick and choose what to sub out.

But I really want to get into more CrossFit shape at this point, so the other option is to go "heavy" on an Rx WOD (e.g. Heavy Fran, Heavy Elizabeth, or adding a weighted vest etc.) once or twice a week to try to sneak in some strength work so that I keep my mass. I'm already as strong or stronger than most CrossFitters, so getting higher 1RMs may not be as useful right now. I need to get the middle strength, the running, the strength endurance up. Hopefully the strength base I've acquired will help.

I can go to that MEBB-style (option one, where I sub WODs) later in the new year if I think my strength is slipping.
