1. Grace full-squat (warm-up): 4min21s -- PR by 10s. Nice!! Doing this for warm-up has really helped t0 familiarize myself and to pace properly. Today, it felt easier and I PR'd pretty nicely. Didn't expect it, didn't really chase it. Felt rather comfortable. Awesome. Will start alternating Fran and Elizabeth next week, so we'll revisit this again in a week or so.
2. main site WOD: continuously running clock
--> 1 minute of squats
--> 1 minute to do (60-#squats done in previous minute) pullups
--> 1 minute of squats
--> 1 minute to do (60-#squats done in previous minute) pushups
repeat until unable to complete (minimum 12 rounds)
I topped out in the middle of the 18th minute. Went like this:
50squats/10pullups
50squats/10pushups
50squats/10pullups
50squats/10pushups
45squats/15pullups
40squats/20pushups
30squats/20pullups
25squats/35pushups
30squats/15pullups (and time ran out)
TOTAL 370 squats/100pullups/75pushups.
Meh. Kinda disappointing. Squats were not done properly -- too much quad focus. As Aaron said, I've got to go wider and use more hams and glutes. I tried to do that today, but sat back too much -- way too much quads, which are the muscles that gave out. Oh well, keep learning!
1900 or so: ran to Chapters, then ran home, about 10min (~1.6km) each way.
